Still Pain
by: Pete

Deanne, Oh Dear, what terrible memories for you you to have to bear. But it's a great move, writing about it and sharing it, you'll find that it'll help quite a bit.
Scars are a hard thing to have, and they seem to be a greater problem for a woman than for a man. In my case I took on a high pressure, commission only, selling job, about 18 months after my burns, and when applying for the job, and questioned about my scarring, I said that my scars were an asset 'cause they gave me a face that would be remembered. (see my About Us page)
If counselling is available, please do consider it. But if not, do more writing about it. You mentioned that you could write a book about your life, well why not do something like writing short articles about different aspects of your life. There are many on-line forums where you could join and share experiences, or even your local news paper.
Deanne, thanks for sharing, and please write to us again, we hold you in our thoughts and prayers.
